Haiti, and particularly the ServeHAITI clinic, where everyday people who live and work there are heroes, is a Sacred Space. As much as their stories need to be told, it's always somewhat difficult for me to bring people from the States there for the first time. Exploitation is one of my biggest fears. You came young and wide eyed to this place, and you met people where they were. In the midst of life, death, pain, sorrow and joy, you found a way to capture those moments while upholding your integrity and preserving their dignity. Gina and her assistant exceeded every expectation we had for our elopement in Colorado. She went well beyond her title as "photographer" to seamlessly fill roles like hairdresser, makeup artist, wardrobe assistant, itinerary coordinator, and so many other things that my husband and I didn't anticipate for our day. They handled any request or unexpected issue like they were our close friends, not just hired professionals, and made our day so effortless (and fun!). She knows just when to use her gentle guidance and when to step back and let her clients lead. Our photographs from that day are much more than we expected - uniquely us and so authentic. If I could do it all over again, I would in a heartbeat.
You can use ALL our photos cause they are all so wonderful and amazing. I look at them in our home every day and they bring us so much joy. And whenever people visit, they say, "wow, that looks like a magazine!" and I say, "yeah, my friend Gina took those." ;)
I've never really been the type to want my picture taken so I was unsure about doing newborn pictures with my daughter when it's obviously a time that I wasn't feeling the most comfortable in my body. As soon as we walked into Gina's studio and met her I knew we were going to have a wonderful time. She has such a calm, warm soul and was so understanding and patient with my daughter's newborn temperament. I fell in love with the pictures we took that day. We've come full circle with Gina with all of the family, maternity, and now more newborn pictures she's taken for us. <3

I'm going to be honest, the reason I haven't done a maternity shoot previously is because of insecurities with my changing appearance. I truly think it is a beautiful season and the female form is incredible...for others lol. I struggle to see the beauty in mine. I'm hoping photos will help reframe that perception. I think your portfolio is magical and you seem like the right person to help accomplish that! I love your (seemingly) effortless/romantic style.

I will be forever thankful for you and how you captured my last pregnancy. I wish I would have done photos for all of them, but I"m glad I found courage for at least one. I think if I had saw your work earlier, I probably would have. You are a true artist. The care that you put into every detail shows! It was wonderful to work with you, and I also hope you are well. I'm still trying to find myself in the beautiful, but all encompassing, sea of motherhood. Once I do, I will reach out to you for another session. Maybe family. But maybe just for me and a reclaiming identity. Probably both. <3

As someone who never in a million years thought she’d have maternity pictures taken, I can say with confidence that Gina completely changed my mind-set; making me wish I had done them with my first. These pictures were by far the most beautiful pieces of art I’ve ever seen. And I cannot believe that I was the subject! Her attention to detail is impeccable.
